Shannon EastShannon East – Executive Director

I have the pleasure of being the Executive Director at Lakeshore Senior Living. I was born and raised in Michigan and love being close to the lake. I started my journey with Seniors when I was 8 years old spending a lot of time with my grandmother. I then spent my college years working with seniors in their homes. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University. My first Executive Director role was in 2005 and have been in the Senior Living industry ever since. I have many years in Independent, Assisted and Memory care Communities.

What better job can you have helping seniors create meaningful relationships and enjoy their retirement years. I love creating an atmosphere where residents and a Team of Associates get to call this their home every day. Lakeshore Definitely has that “welcome” feeling for both residents and staff.

I am married to my husband Tim for 24 years and we have two amazing Young Adults, Nathan who is 22 and Noelle who is 20. When I’m not working, I love to be with my family and friends. We have a lake house up north so we spend much of the summer boating and enjoying the outdoors.

My favorite quote is: “Be fearless on the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”

Rachel NagorsenRachel Nagorsen – Sales and Leasing Manager

At the age of 30, I have spent 14 of those years working with seniors in the health care industry. Growing up I had a dream to become a lead anchor on the local news. Little did I know at the time that my part-time high school job as a dietary aide would play such a factor in my life.

I graduated from Oakland University with a major in Journalism and minor in Communications. I was lucky enough my senior year to have an internship with WDIV Channel 4’s Investigative Reporting Unit. It wasn’t long before I realized that my passion was not truly in the broadcasting field; it was with the seniors I worked with over the past several years. I have been blessed to work with seniors in many different aspects and times in their life.

I am blessed to be able to combine my passion of journalism and communication with my love for seniors. I believe as a “sales person” it is not just my job to sell apartments, but to be a resource for others and make you comfortable with this decision. I’m not selling “apartments”; I am here to offer you a life that will provide you with comfort, joy, and most importantly new friendships. These walls were built to house a family full of laughter and love!

I live in St. Clair Shores with my husband, Sean, and our sassy cat, Toby. We are excited to start our family this upcoming June with our first little bundle of joy!

Rachel SmithRachel Smith – Wellness Supervisor

I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and graduate of Central Michigan University with a major in Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Services, with a minor in Gerontology. I have always had a passion for working with older adults and truly enjoy helping to provide them with a positive quality of life. I believe that there are no better people to learn from than those who have been through it themselves – with it being life itself.

I started my career in senior independent living as an activities director and then found my way to a skilled nursing home for a few years. I was lead to Lakeshore Senior Living by a few perfect opportunities including living in St. Clair Shores and watching the building go up, scrolling through job postings and seeing the golden ticket, and prayers answered for a good job interview and for the hiring staff to like me. Beginning my position at Lakeshore has been my best career decision yet and I look forward to what more is to come.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, crafting, spending time with family and friends, and staying active. I am a newlywed as of this past September and I live with my husband Jack and dog Jobin.

My favorite quote is: “Positive mind. Positive vibes. Positive life.”

christine laudeman nurse managerChristine Laudeman – Nurse Manager

Hello! I’m Christine and I’m so happy to be a part of the Lakeshore team! I’m married to my wonderful husband, Steven, and we have two rambunctious little boys. When I’m not at the community, I’m spending time with my family and working on my Bachelors in Nursing. I enjoy reading, seeing new movies, and meeting friends for coffee.

I began working in senior living 8 years ago after my family experienced a loss due to Dementia. I began working as a caregiver because I wanted to provide quality care to an amazing population. I loved working as a caregiver and was eventually promoted to a new role that I thoroughly enjoyed. I love talking to our residents and hearing their life experiences. I fell more in love with senior living as my journey continued and I have a hard time seeing myself anywhere but here. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for Lakeshore Senior Living!

sara daleySara Daley – Executive Chef

Hello my name is Sarah and I have been living on the east side of Michigan for my entire life. Having grown up in a large Italian family, my passion for food was evident at a very young age. By the age of 13 I was working at a local family restaurant. After high school, I pursued a culinary and pastry arts degree through the Macomb Culinary Institute, and in 2010 I graduated in the top of my class. I decided to further expand my education and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Madonna University in the winter of 2012. I worked at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland for the following three years after graduation, and in the Spring of 2015 I started my career as an Executive Chef. Working as an Executive Chef has been an exceptionally rewarding career. While working in independent living, I have learned that senior citizens are one of the best demographics to serve. I enjoy getting to know the residents and finding out what their preferences are and I believe it truly enriches their dining experience. In my free time I enjoy spending as much time as possible on Lake St. Clair on my father’s boat. If I am not on the boat I like to work out in the gym, play basketball, tinker around in my garden or spend time with my dog.
