Shannon EastShannon East – Executive Director

I have the pleasure of being the Executive Director at Lakeshore Senior Living. I was born and raised in Michigan and love being close to the lake. I started my journey with Seniors when I was 8 years old spending a lot of time with my grandmother. I then spent my college years working with seniors in their homes. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University. My first Executive Director role was in 2005 and have been in the Senior Living industry ever since.

What better job can you have helping seniors create meaningful relationships and enjoy their retirement years. I love creating an atmosphere where residents and a Team of Associates get to call this their home every day. Lakeshore Definitely has that “stay awhile, you are part of the family” feeling for both residents and staff.

I am married to my husband Tim for 26 years and we have two amazing Young Adults, Nathan who is 24 and Noelle who is 22. When I’m not working, I love to be with my family and friends. We have a lake house up north so we spend much of the summer boating and enjoying the outdoors.

My favorite quote is: “Be fearless on the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”

Rachel NagorsenRachel Nagorsen – Marketing and Leasing Manager

I started my journey working with seniors at the age of 16 as a dietary aide. I knew right away that working in an environment with seniors was where my passion was. Over the years, I have worked in different aspects of senior livings and short term rehabilitation facilities.

Seniors have a love for life that is different than anyone else. I have the privilege of getting to know the residents before they make the move into our senior community. My ultimate goal is to make them as comfortable as possible and see the benefits of making the move regardless of their fears.

I watched Lakeshore Senior Living literally be built from the ground up and have watched the residents and staff members become a big, happy family! It’s been such a great journey so far!

I have been married since February 2017. My husband, Sean, and I have two beautiful children, Grady and Clara, and our kitty, Toby. Our children are 14 months apart in age so they keep us very busy…and happy!

Rachel SmithRachel Smith – Wellness Supervisor

I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and graduate of Central Michigan University with a major in Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Services, with a minor in Gerontology. I have always had a passion for working with older adults and truly enjoy helping to provide them with a positive quality of life. I believe that there are no better people to learn from than those who have been through it themselves – with it being life itself.

I started my career in senior independent living as an activities director and then found my way to a skilled nursing home for a few years, then came back to senior independent living here at Lakeshore. Working at Lakeshore has been such a blessing. We have some of the best residents, family members, and staff around, and I find enjoyment in each and every day I spend here.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, crafting, spending time with family and friends, and staying active. I live in St. Clair Shores with my husband Jack and dog Jobin, and we are expecting our first little one in June of 2020.

My favorite quote is: “Positive mind. Positive vibes. Positive life.”

I am a Certified Dementia Practitioner and have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services. I love working with people and helping in any way I can. I have worked with all kinds of people over the years. I did internships at a facility that took guardianship of Developmentally Delayed Adults, a group home that provided a step down from mental health facilities, and at a homeless shelter that turned into a job, which I absolutely loved. From there I worked in daycare and at a nursing home. Finally, I found my way to Lakeshore Senior Living and have never been happier! I have the best residents, families, and coworkers, not to mention the amazing view of Lake Saint Clair.

I grew up here in Saint Clair Shores and met my husband, Tom, here. We are high school sweethearts, married on the 10 year anniversary of the date that we started dating, and now live in Warren with our 2 dogs, Bella and Bandit. Bandit has been coming to Lakeshore every month to visit the residents here since he was an 8 month old puppy. Now that he is 2, his goal is to become certified as a therapy dog, but for now he is just enjoying all the attention he gets as a visitor.

christine laudeman nurse managerChristine Laudeman – Nurse Manager

I have had the pleasure of working with seniors since 2010, where I began as a caregiver while working through nursing school. I obtained my Practical Nurse License in 2015 and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December 2019. I received my Certified Dementia Practitioner in 2018 and have since used the skills learned to educate others on the Dementia process and how to provide quality care with dignity. I enjoy spending time with older adults, hearing their life experiences and learning from them.

I live in Mount Clemens with my husband, Steve, our 10 year old twin boys, and our two dogs, Blue and Pepper. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with family and friends, shopping at Target, or reading a good book. I love learning everything there is to know about nursing and look forward to advancing my degree in the near future as I pursue my Nurse Practitioner in Gerontology!
